Who are we?

We are The United Gas Workers Union, UWUA local 69-2

We represent approximately 1000 employees who work for Dominion Gas Transmission and Dominion Hope. We proudly live and work in New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia and West Virginia. We work night and day, in doors and out, rain or shine, from the blazing summer heat to the freezing cold; all so that the public can be provided with uninterrupted gas service.

We come from a very diverse background. Our families worked the coal mines of West Virginia, the Steel Mills of the Monongahela and Ohio Valleys, the auto plants of Western Ohio, and the ship yards on the great lakes shores; we our working people who come from working people. This website is dedicated to our families and our Union brothers and Sisters; who over the years have fought and died for the privileges and benefits we now enjoy today. Remember our heritage, be proud of it, and fight to retain it.
